The better regulated you are, the better you can help others manage their anxiety.

As a Dental Professional, there are many things that you can do to support the patient and set up the stage for a better experience.

First and foremost, the better self regulated you are yourself at work; the better you’ll be at supporting the patient throughout the appointment.

Especially when your day at work is extremely busy, take the time to reset yourself.  As human beings, we have the capacity to communicate non verbally about the state of our nervous system.

Other people will unconsciously pick up on these cues and match our state.

Hence the better regulated you are, the better you can help others manage their anxiety.

It only takes a brief moment to do the Body Sensation of Support/Easiest Breath exercise.  By taking the time to do this through the day, you and your patients will have a better experience.
